“What roles for science in crisis times? Outlook in the health, environment and agriculture interconnected areas”

We are pleased to announce the upcoming “COHORT 2023 Unveiling Insights: Convergent Outcomes and Future Pathways”, an opportunity for the Montpellier Advanced Knowledge Institute (MAK’IT) COHORT Programme Fellows to discuss their collaborative interdisciplinary work around the 2023 theme “What roles for science in crisis times? Outlook in the health, environment and agriculture interconnected areas”.

This event promises to be an intellectually stimulating and thought-provoking experience as our fellows engage in in-depth discussions exploring the multiple dimensions of crises and the role of science in addressing them. From delving into the intricate meanings of crisis, resilience, adaptation and transformation, to grappling with the complexities of prioritising action and the intersection of different knowledge systems, the COHORT has worked to bring insight and intellectual direction to these complexities.

It also provides a unique opportunity to explore the central role of meaningful citizen engagement and interaction at the science-policy-society interface. With a diverse range of perspectives and expertises, our Fellows will highlight the challenges, controversies and innovative proposals that have emerged from their research.

Join us for an exchange of their insights at this event of restitution of experiences and collective results.
