The T20 is a G20 engagement group that brings together think tanks and research centres from G20 members and guest countries and organisations.

Think tanks can contribute to the T20 in a variety of formats such as participating in the T20 conferences and meetings, proposing and organizing side events, submitting policy briefs, and joining the task forces activities.
Following the principles of inclusiveness, representativeness and effectiveness,T20 Brasil will seek to engage a large number of national and foreign think tanks, particularly welcoming more African think tanks, and have a broader impact on the G20 Finance and Sherpa tracks.
It will also build stronger links with other engagement groups so that recommendations and policy options produced as part of the T20 Brasil discussions reflect a comprehensive understanding of the issues at stake and enjoy stronger support and legitimacy.

The T20 Brasil Inception Conference, scheduled for March 4-6, stands as the inaugural cornerstone of this year’s proceedings. Over the course of three days, T20 Brasil will convene virtually to deliberate on the strategic roadmap for each Task Force. Distinguished voices from the International and National Advisory Councils will provide invaluable insights to the T20 Brasil process. Furthermore, participants will engage with high-ranking officials from G20 Brasil and other engagement groups. This conference marks the premier occasion for T20 Brasil members to collaboratively explore innovative ways to rethink the world, striving toward a just and sustainable planet.
